It is fantastic, great taste!! I’ll be ordering more!
Quality is always high! Love mild and spicy.
I'm a recent chili oil convert, after years of being scared of it (aka low spice tolerance). But when I tried your basic chili oil offered to you at yum cha, I realized how flavorful it was and how much tolerance I actually did have. I wanted to try Chilee because a friend of mine was really excited to get a jar from a recent Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, so I just up and ordered one after realizing my ability to enjoy chili oil. And yes, its just as flavorful and spicy as advertised!
I'll be honest, I went a little overboard and was putting it in almost every meal in one day, which upset my stomach, and that's my own fault. But it was because I was excited to see how it'd taste with everything! It really made each meal more exciting and elevated. I enjoy the heat it brings, the sweetness of the shallots, and the nuttiness of the sesame seeds. Not pictured, a small drizzle into my eggs I made for my spam/egg breakfast bagel (breakfast of champions). I personally might fare better with the mild jar, but I didn't want to miss out on the heat, so I think it's just a matter of knowing how much I can add to my food without hurting myself.
As a chili oil newbie, I recommend it to others who are curious. It really is *spicy*, so a little goes a long way, if you're like me and not totally immune to the burn. All in all, I'm super glad I bought this jar!
I love the Chilee Oil. Love it. Tried it once on a whim after finding at Gangnam Market in Chicago, and now I'm hooked - so good as a dipping sauce, add a little when making stir fry, etc.
Absolutely delicious.
